Chilson’s Garage was founded by Charlie Chilson in Floral City in 1981. Since our auto repair shop’s first day of business, our mechanics have worked hard to provide high-quality service to Floral City’s drivers. Through the hard work of our certified master mechanics, our shop has been recognized by Demandforce as a top auto repair service center. We also proudly maintain a great rating with the Better Business Bureau by providing consistently excellent service to our clients. To meet the growing needs of our Floral City clients, we have added a new bay to our auto repair facility every two years since 2000 for our mechanics to work in.
Charlie Chilson’s passion for cars began in his younger years when he started building race cars as a side interest in the 1960s. His interest in cars grew, and he decided to pursue auto repairs professionally as a mechanic in the 1970s. Charlie worked as a certified GM mechanic for many years. In 1979, he transitioned into the role of a service manager at a Toyota service center. After two years in this role, Charlie decided to step out on his own by founding Chilson’s Garage. Over the years, Charlie has progressively improved his knowledge and skills in auto repair, maintenance and even shop management so that he can continue to elevate the level of service that he and his team of certified mechanics provide.
